What’s been happening? Good news
Over the festive period we have continued making arrests to safeguard victims over their Christmas Holidays.
We arrested a male for assault after he had punched his ex-partner in the face causing a bruise. We also arrested a male for non-fatal strangulation against his partner.
Female arrested for witness intimidation against a very high-risk domestic offending case which include assaults and controlling behaviour. The domestic offender was charged in September and remanded in prison for court in March 2026. By making this arrest for witness intimidation, we have allowed the victim to be more confident in supporting the prosecution for domestic.
The team also arrested a male for persistently breaching a Community Protection Notice which is in place to keep our communities safe. He will appear in court at a later date.
The officers have done all this whilst also doing shifts on special vans patrolling Solihull Town Centre, Nec and Resorts World during the festive period and assisting response with the increased in demand over this period.
Your local PCSO’s have been out and about patrolling Castle Bromwich, Smiths Wood and Kingshurst and conducting house to house and visiting victims for the crimes that have happened during this period.
Dates for your Diary (these are places and opportunities where you can engage with your local neighbourhood officers):
6th January 2026 at 10.30 - PCSO’s will be at Arden Hall Coffee Morning
We want you to feel safe on our streets and here are a few precautions you can take when out walking. Keep valuables out of view, this includes jewellery and phones. Take minimal possessions out with you. If possible, put your coat over the top of a cross-body bag keeping it well hidden. There are some great travel bags on the market with anti-slash straps and built in RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology to block the signal from your contactless bank cards. Use inside pockets and don’t be tempted to play on your phone when standing at bus stops or queuing in shops. Take well-lit main road routes to your destination, don’t take short cuts which are often through alleyways, parks and garage areas where lighting is poor, and the ground is rough. If there are areas where you don’t feel safe, please report these locations to Police.uk/StreetSafe
If you are going out to see the New Year in, please remember to secure your properties, locking all doors & windows. Stay safe and well and enjoy the celebrations
We will see you in 2026 🎆🌍👮♀️ | ||
